Lujean Loy (Taylor) - Class Of 1940

 LuJean A. Taylor, 80, died at 9:20 p.m. Aug. 26, 2001, at St. Anthony Health Care, Lafayette, where she resided.
  Born April 25, 1921, in Delphi, she was the daughter of George and Bertha Loy.  Her marriage was in 1943 to Warren "Jay" Taylor in Shreveport, La., and he died in 1978.
  She graduated from Delphi High School in 1940 and attended Indiana University for one year.  She spent her life in the Greater Lafayette area.
  She was a nursing assistant for 30 years at Home Hospital, retiring in 1986.
  Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Indiana Extension Homemakers and the Original Mall Walkers at Tippecanoe Mall.
  Surviving are two daughters, Jeanie Clausen of Lafayette and Cheryl Philon of Indianapolis.  She was preceded in death by a brother.
  Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Soller-Baker West Chapel, West Lafayette.  Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.  Burial will be in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
