John Mullin - Class Of 1940

John T. Mullin, 75, of Indianapolis, formerly of Delphi, died Sept. 25, 1997, in Westview Osteopathic Hospital.
  Born April 24, 1922, he was the son of Arthur R. and Mary Been Mullin.  He was married to Betty J. Harper, who survives.
  Mullin, who was a graduate of Delphi High School and Purdue University, served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
  Mullin was a partner in the Daseke Insurance Agency for 30 years, selling his interest in the Agency in 1978.  He then became a full-time chaplin at Wishard Memorial Hospital, a position he held for ten years.  He then became a chaplin at Westview Osteopathic Hospital, retiring in 1996.
  He was a member of Tabernacle Presbyterian Church and a member of the board of directors of the former Indiana Christian University.  He was also active with the Gideons.
  Also surviving are two sons, John T. "Tom" Mullin II of Mooresville and Dale H. Mullin of Nashville, Tenn.; three brothers, Clayton A. Mullin of Sheridan, Merlin C. Mullin of Delphi, and William H. Mullin of Zionsville; a stepson; a stepdaughter; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
  Services were Sunday at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church with entombment in Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown.
  Memorials may be made to the Pastoral Care Funds at Tabernacle Presbyterian, Wishard Hospital or Westview Osteopathic Hospital.
