Edith Larimore (Isaacs) - Class Of 1937

Edith Isaacs, 94, of Monticello, formerly of Delphi passed away on Sept. 16, 2013 at Monticello Healthcare where she had been a resident since February.

Edith was born on April 28, 1919 in Delphi to the late Charles and Irene (Shockey) Larimore.

Edith married Paul Harold Isaacs in Lafayette on Oct. 24, 1936 and he preceded her on April 18, 1985.

Edith had worked as an attendant for the Logansport State Hospital and was a volunteer worker for St. Elizabeth Healthcare.

Mrs. Isaacs was a member of the Delphi Christian Church. She was a former member of Tri Kappa Bridge-a-Rama, St. Elizabeth Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary and Women of the Moose.

Edith enjoyed board and card games, especially Euchre. She loved mushroom hunting, crocheting, knitting, singing songs, and writing poetry. She loved spending time with her family.

Edith is survived by 4 daughters: Linda Brian of San Bernardino, CA, Sandra Jenkins, Rebecca Jacobs (Mike Gibbs), Kathleen Walters (Brian) of Delphi; sisters: Barbara Nelson of Delphi and Joann Van Natta of Battle Ground; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren

She was preceded by her husband; 6 sisters: Mary Belle Larimore, Beatrice Isaacs, Ruth Bayar, Evelyn Pritchard, Deloris Eberle, Betty Maxwell; 3 brothers: Robert, Edgar & Donald Larimore; sons-in-law: Carl Brian and Jerry Jenkins; grandson, Tony Jenkins; granddaughter, Tina Marie Rush; great grandson: Alan Minnicus.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi with services there on Sat., Sept. 21, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Todd Ladd officiating. Burial will be in Morning Heights Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
