Pat Fontinel (Dickinson) - Class Of 1951

Patricia J. "Pat" Fontinel Dickinson, 76, of Delphi, died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, at 8:30 a.m. at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She had been ill and was taken to the hospital Aug. 7.

Born Feb. 15, 1933, at home in Delphi, she was the daughter of the late Donald and A. Geraldine Loy Fontinel. Her marriage was on Nov. 29, 1951, in Delphi, to Charles "Ed" Dickinson, who preceded her in death on July 15, 1991.

Mrs. Dickinson graduated from Delphi High School in 1951.

She was a bookkeeper for local businesses, helped her husband on their farm, and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Dickinson was a member of the Delphi United Methodist Church for 66 years, attended the Rain or Shine Sunday School class and volunteered at the church office.

She was a former member of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority.

She enjoyed bowling and was in several leagues, dominos and avidly supported all her grandchildren's activities.

Surviving are two daughters, Cathryn "Cathie" Gangwer (husband: Gary) of Rossville and Teresa "Terri" Brummett (husband: Steve) of Flora; a son, Donald D. "Donnie" Dickinson (companion: Jana Beeler) of Delphi; a sister, Jerilyn Rausch (husband: Dick) of Rossville; a brother, Sam Fontinel (wife: Donna) of Roanoke, Va.; seven grandchildren, Kelsie, Jennifer, Kinzie, Brett, Ryan, Kristopher and Wesley; three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Jacquelyn and Samuel; and two stepgrandchildren, Amanda and Grant.

Preceding her in death was a brother, Dickie, and a granddaughter, Jacqueline Rene.
