Mary Angell Cartwright Bergner, 73, of Delphi, died at 9:35 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 1980, at the Americana Health Care Center, Lafayette, where she had been since March 17.  She had been in ill health since December 1978.
  Born Nov. 2, 1906, in Delphi, she was the daughter of Charles A. and Florence Ball Cartwright.  Her marriage was in 1943 in Indianapolis to Paul H. Bergner and he died Feb. 1, 1960.
  She was a former librarian at Oregon Community High School, Oregon, Ill.  She was graduated from Delphi High School in 1925, attended Western College for Women and was graduated Emory University, Atlanta, Ga.  She was a member of the Delphi Reading Club.
  Surviving are one son, Fred Bergner of Rt. 1, Battle Ground; and two grandchildren.
  Funeral services were this morning at Thompson Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday C.S.T. at Riverview Cemetery, Oregon, Ill.
