Forrest "Doc" Orr Jr., 87, of Delphi, died at 1:50 a.m. Feb. 28, 1999, at ExtendaCare of Delphi.  He formerly lived at 103 N. Lafayette Street, Delphi.
  Born Oct. 30, 1911, in Delphi, he was the son of Forrest H. Orr, Sr., and Dorothy Smith Orr.  He married Mary Dodson on May 29, 1949, in Delphi, and she died Dec. 27, 1996.
  He was a 1929 graduate of Delphi High School and a 1932 graduate of Purdue University School of Pharmacy.
  Mr. Orr owned and operated the former Orr's Drug Store in Delphi until his retirement.
  He was a long-time member of the Carroll County Alcoholic Beverage Commission.  He was a former member of the Elks Club of Lafayette, Mt. Olive Masonic Lodge 48, and Moose Lodge of Delphi.
  Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Orr of Gurnee, Ill., and Ellen Newcomb of Bethel Island, Calif; a brother, Jack E. Orr of Seattle, Wash., and five grandchildren.
  Services were today at Horn Funeral Home with Rev. James Rankin officiating.  Burial was in Masonic Cemetery. Delphi.
