Catherine Conn (Roadruck) - Class Of 1927

Letter from her 50th Class Reunion

I worked several places after graduating but at the time we were married I was working as a secretary for the Block & Kuhl Department store in South Bend.  I married Cleo C. Roadruck in 1930 and moved to Battle Ground where we lived for a little over 30 years.   When we were married Cleo had a daughter, Dorthy Burton, who lives in El Cajon, CA.  We had a daughter, Lois Christopher, and a son, Clifford, who was killed in an automobile accident in 1963.

After our children were married, we sold our home in Battle Ground and moved to Brookston.  After living there for 12 years we moved to Lafayette.  We particulary like living here as it is a regular "Sun City" neighborhood of retired people whom we enjoy very much.

After moving to Brookston I went to work as a secretary for the Wesley Foundation at Purdue.  I retired in 1974 after working there for 12 years.  Cleo retired in 1974 after working for 34 years from TRW Ross Gear Division.
