Marguerite Sidenbender (Daughterty) - Class Of 1927

Letter from her 50th Class Reunion

After graduation, I worked in Kroger's grocery store until I met the manager of the A&P grocery store in Delphi--Max Daughterty, whom I married.  We were in the grocery business for 35 years in Delphi.

In 1961 we moved to Charlotte, NC where Max managed a Little General Grocery store until he went to work for Eckerd Drugs, for whom he worked until his retirement in 1975.

We traveled several times to the west coast and to Hawaii, before Max developed a heart condition, so now our traveling days are over for awhile.  Best of all is living each day as it comes with its surprises, its joys and its sorrows, and to share all this with a wonderful husband.

Marguerite Sidenbender Daughterty died Dec. 9, 1989, in her home in Muncie.
She was married to the late Max Daugherty, who managed the A & P Grocery in Delphi 35 years.  She was a graduate of Delphi High School in 1927.
  There are no immediate survivors.
Services were held in Meron on Monday.
