Mrs. Kathryn A. Crone, 52, of 404 West Front Street, Delphi, died Monday morning at the family home after a lingering illness. Born August 18, 1909, in Flora, her parents were George M. and Sophia A. Scheibal Smith. Her father was long a prominent Delphi attorney. She was married August 14, 1931 to John H. Crone and had spent her lifetime in this community where she was a member of the Methodist church. Mrs. Crone graduated in 1927 from the Delphi high school. Surviving with the husband are four daughters: Kathryn Faye at home; Mrs. Robert G. Myers of West Palm Beach, Florida; Mrs. William L. Maxwell and Mrs. Billy J. Draper, both of route 4, Delphi; a son, John H. Crone, Jr., at home; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Saffron of Gary. Rites were conducted at the Eikenberry funeral home Wednesday with Rev. Robert Wilburn officiating. Burial was in the Masonic cemetery.
