Donald Wilson - Class Of 1927

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at the Soller Baker chapel, in Lafayette, for Donald Wilson, 53, native of Delphi, who died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack at 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning in his home at 223 Lincoln street, West Lafayette. Burial was made in St. Mary’s cemetery. Born in Delphi in 1908 he was the son of Francis and Mary McDonald Wilson. He was a graduate of Delphi high school with the class of 1927. His marriage in 1941 in Indianapolis was to Rosetta McLaughlin. They moved to Lafayette in 1947 where he was a tool maker for Duncan Electric, Inc, He also was president of the International Union of Electrical Workers. He was associated for several years with his father in the Wilson Machine Shop, at Delphi. He was a member of the Elks lodge 143, Mt. Olive F&AM 48 and was active in Boy Scout work. Surviving with the widow, are three sons: Thomas, Ray and James, and two daughters: Mary Jane and Joan, all at home; five sisters: Mrs. Katherine Sear and Mrs. John Lorber, both of New York City; Mrs. Raymond Barber, of Bringhurst; Mrs. Charles Brown, of Chicago, and Mrs. E. J. Bridwell, of Bedford; and two brothers: Harry of Lafayette and Robert of Delphi.
