C. Clay Doty

 Services for C. Clay Doty, 81, of Sullivan, were Saturday at Reinke Funeral Home, Flora. The Rev. Larry DeVos officiated and burial was in Maple Lawn Cemetery. He died at 11:55 a.m. Feb. 22, 1989, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Sullivan. Born March 23, 1907, in Delphi, he was the son of Sell and Emma Squire Doty. His marriage was in 1928 in Delphi to Noami G. Davis, who survives. Doty was a 1925 graduate of Delphi High School and a 1930 graduate of Purdue University. He was a pharmacist in the Johnson County Hospital pharmacy, Franklin, retiring in 1972. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Franklin. Surviving with the wife are three sons, Don D. Doty of Gulfport, Fla., Tom G. Doty of Brisbane, Australia, and Michael D. Doty of Sullivan; and seven grandchildren.
