Miss Ruth S. Whiteman, 63, of Rt. 1, Bringhurst, died at 3 a.m. Sunday at Home Hospital.  She had been ill since January and entered the hospital Tuesday of last week.
  Born Dec. 4, 1905 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of J.L. and Lettie Whiteman.  She was a member of the Delphi United Methodist Church.  She attended Lafayette Business College after graduating from Delphi High School.  During the early thirties, she served with her sister, Mildred, in the County Auditor's office while her father, J.L. Whiteman was Auditor. 
  Surviving with her mother who resides on Rt. 1, Bringhurst, is a sister, Mrs. Lloyd Templin of Rt. 1, Bringhurst.
  Funeral services were Tuesday afternoon at Brown Funeral Chapel, in Rossville.  The Rev. C. Bugg officiated and interment was in Zion Cemetery, southeast of Delphi.
