Thelma T. Wingard, 79, formerly of Delphi, died May 9, 1987, at Heritage Healthcare Center, West Lafayette. She had been in ill health five years. She was born September 12, 1907 in Carroll County to Earl and Marie Wall Thompson. She was married to Harry Wingard, and he preceded in death. Mrs. Wingard was a 1925 graduate of Delphi High School. She worked in the Carroll County Recorder's office for several years. She attended Delphi United Methodist Church and was a member of American Legion Auxiliary in Lafayette. Surviving are three grandsons, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverley Morrison Shaffer. Services were held Tuesday at Horn Funeral Home, Delphi. Burial was in Zion Cemetery. Those desiring may contribute in memoriam to the Heart Fund or Carroll County Cancer Association.
