Lester Temple

Lester Melvin "Tiny" Temple, 67, of Buck Creek died at 11:06 a.m. at St. Elizabeith Hospital where he was admitted a week before. He had been ill a year. Born and reared in Carroll County, he moved to Tippecanoe County in 1932. He was employed at Purdue University’s Power Plant for 26-1/2 years, retiring in 1970. Prior to that he worked 20 years on higbway construction. In 1931 he was married at Bloomington to Martha E. Jackson. He was a member of the Buck Creek United Methodist Church and a past master of Transitville F & AM Lodge 425. Surviving with the widow are two daughters, Mrs. Norma Wilcox of Lafayette and Mrs. Shirley Sheets of Forest; two sisters, Mrs. Geneva Schildberg of Gary and Mrs. Dewana Bramlett of Lafayette; three brothers, Robert of Lafayette and Raymond and Forrest of Rt. 2, Delphi; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday afternoon in Buck Creek United Melthodist C^hurch with the Rev. Paul Z. Zimmerman officmting. Interment was in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
