Richard Haugh

Richard E. Hugh, 66, of 209 W. Front St., Delphi, died at 4 a.m. Sunday in St. Elizabeth Hospital where he had been a patient six days.  He had been in ill health for the past three years.
  Born in Delphi Sept. 23, 1907, he was the son of Harry and Mary Shealy Haugh.  He was never married.  He was a veteran of World War II and served during 1942-1946.  He was discharged from the Army as a major.
  Mr. Haugh was graduated from Notre Dame University in 1929 and was a member of the Alumni Association.  He retired in 1970 from the U.S. Dept. of Labor, Division of Veterans Employment Service.
  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Delphi American Legion Post 75, Indianapolis Athletic Club, and a life member of Elks Lodge 143 at Lafayette.
  Surviving are two brothers; Robert A. Haugh of Lafayette, and Jerre J. Haugh of Delphi; and a foster sister, Mrs. Jula Etta Becker of Mt. Prospect, Ill.
  Services were this morning, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Ambrose Ziegler officiating.  Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery with military graveside services.
  Lloyd Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
