Edna Mae Roth, 95, of Monticello, died at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at Twin Lakes Village Nursing Home. Born Feb. 11, 1910, in Carroll County, she lived in Carroll and White counties most of her life. She graduated from Adams Township High School at the age of 16. In 1936, she married Bert M. Gibson. He died in 1938. She married Don N. Roth in 1941, and he died in 1969. She worked as a nanny in Wabash and at the thread mill in Monticello. She did sewing and mending for the local dry cleaners and individuals until 1985. Mrs. Roth was a member of First Baptist Church of Monticello. Surviving are two stepdaughters, Sharon L. Tolley (husband Robert) of Monticello and Huldah L. Haygood of Idaville. Services are Wednesday in Monticello. -
