Clifford Cleaver - Class Of 1926

Clifford A. Cleaver, 71, Lafayette, died Thurs., Sept. 25, 1980, at Home Hospital, where he had been a patient since August 4.
  Born near Delphi in Tippecanoe County, he was the son of Howard and Flora Spidel Cleaver.  He was a graduate of Delphi High School and moved to Lafayette from the Delphi area in 1926.  In 1935 he was married to Madalyn V. Hursh, who died in 1970.  His second marriage was in 1973 at Oxford to Eileen Moyars.  He was employed in the parts department at the former Horner Chevrolet and DeFouw Chevrolet 30 years, retiring in 1976.  He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
  Surviving with the wife are two sons, Robert A. Cleaver of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Ronald L. Cleaver of Scottsboro, Ala.; three stepsons; two stepdaughters; one brother, Clarence Cleaver of Rt. 4, Delphi; four grandchildren; eight step grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
  Services were Sunday at Lafayette with interment in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
