Joy F. Barnhart, 80, Churubusco, died Dec. 28, 1987, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born August 11, 1907, in Carroll County to George F. and Susan Mikesell Draper. Her marriage was to David E. Barnhart on Nov. 5, 1932 in Indianapolis, and he survives. She was a graduate of Home Hospital School of Nursing in Lafayette, and was a member of the Churubusco United Methodist Church. Surviving with the husband are one son, Robert Barnhart, Kehei, Hawaii, and one daughter, Susan Smallwood, Fort Wayne; also one sister Faye Tracht, Columbus; and four grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday,10 a.m., at Orr Funeral Home, Churubusco. Graveside services and burial will be held at 3 p.m. at Pyrmont Cemetery. Friends may call 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m., Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be contributed to Churubusco United Methodist Church or American Heart Fund.
