Mabel Benner (Mullin) - Class Of 1928

Obit says she graduated at Logansport but she is listed in the Delphi class. Mabel E. Benner Mullin, 94, of Delphi, passed away at 1:26 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center-Delphi Born April 6, 1911 in Cass County, she was the daughter of Daniel and Lillie Furrow Benner. On Oct. 16, 1931, she married Estal Mullin in Cutler. He passed away Aug. 30, 1973. She was a 1929 graduate of Logansport High School and attended Logansport Business College. She help her husband on their family farm. They were both life residents of Carroll County. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church-Camden, where she played the organ. She also played for the Clymers United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Liberty Bells Home Ec Club, a 60-year member, Carroll Chapter, of the Order of the Eastern Star 475, where she was past matron, held other offices, and played the organ for 42 years. She loved her family, gardening, her cats, traveling, and volunteering at the Camden Senior Center. Survivors include: a daughter Diane and her husband Mark Schnabel of Linton; two sons, Wayne Mullin of Lafayette, and Keith Mullin and his wife Grace of Camden; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by two daughters-in-law, Eileen and Donna Mullin, a great-granddaughter Katie Mullin, and two brothers, Fred and Roy Benner. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church-Camden with the Rev. Dale Larson and Pastor Mark Schnabel officiating. Burial will be at Camden Cemetery
