Josephine E. (Thompson) Parker, 72, of Lafayette died Thursday March 10, 1983, in Ben Hur Nursing Home, Crawfordsville. She had been in failing health two years. A native of Pittsburg, she attended the Delphi area schools. An employee of Purdue University's food service division for 24 years, she worked in the Chestnut Room at the Union Building before retiring in 1973. Surviving are a daughter, Janet Carol Tillotson of Bainbridge; one son, Thomas Gerald Parker of Lafayette and two sisters. Margaret Maxwell of Muncie and Alma Zaring of Martinsville; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services were Saturday with interment in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Delphi.
