Mildred Blickenstaff (Farmer)

Mildred Marie Farmer, 86, of Indianapolis, formerly of Delphi, died at 12:35 a.m. November 14, 1996, in the Transitional Hospital Corp., Greendood. She had lived in Indianapolis, Lebanon, and Zionsville before moving to Greenwood this year.
  She was born April 16, 1910, in Idaville.  Her marriage was in 1930 to Oba A. Farmer, who died in 1978.
  She was raised in Delphi and graduated from Delphi High School.  She also graduated from Sanderson's Business School.
  Mrs. Farmer was a former employee of Allstate Insurance Co.  She also had been an assistant to the secretary at the Indiana Girls School and had worked in a number of school kitchens in Indianapolis.
  She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Lebanon, the Boone County Cancer Society, and the WCTU.
  Surviving are two sons, James L. Farmer of Tennessee and John O. Farmer of Indianapolis; three brothers, Eugene Blickenstaff of Logansport, Ralph G. Blickenstaff of New York City, and Carl C. Blickenstaff of Idaho; and a sister Rosemary B. Hurst of Sacramento, Calif.
  Graveside service was Friday in Whitestown.
