Russell Pearson - Class Of 1928

Russell Pearson, 52, prominent Adams township farmer, died shortly after noon Tuesday in Robert Long hospital, Indianapolis. Pearson had been a patient in the hospital since May 23 when he suffered 1st, 2nd and third degree burns over 40 percent of his body. A director of the Carroll County REMC, Pearson was also vice president of the Carroll Chapter of the NFO. He was a member of the Hickory Grove church. Born August 12, 1910, in Carroll county, his parents were John A. and Maude Temple Pearson. His marriage was to Margaret Jones. Surviving with the widow are a son Dick, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Lou Ann Martin of Logansport; two brothers, John D. of Delphi and Ralph of Fairborn, Ohio; four sisters; Mrs. Mary Jean Van Meter of route 5, Monticello, Betty Lou Taskey of Lafayette, Wilma Lull of Indianapolis and Opal Collins of Wolcott. Funeral rites will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Hickory Grove church with Rev. Glenn Frier officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Delphi Citizen June 13, 1963
