Lorene Z. Rider, 72, 633 N. Market St., Delphi, formerly of Ockley and Colburn, died Monday morning at her residence.
Born June 14, 1909, in Ockley, she was the daughter of Oren and Audrey M. Loy Sheets. On January 5,1929, in Delphi, she was married to Everett Rider, who preceded her in death February 7, 1960.
A seamstress in the Delphi area, she was graduated from Delphi High School. She was a member of the Women's Relief Corp. No. 280, and the Adina Rebekah Lodge No. 79, both of Delphi.
She is survived by three daughters, Deloris Joan Scott, Lafayette; Phyllis Jennings, Romney; and Janice Slavens, Fort Wayne; three brothers, Kenneth, Prescott, Ariz.; Daniel, Lafayette; and Gerald, Corpus Christi, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
One great-grandchild preceded her in death.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, Delphi, with the Rev. Millard Sibley officiating. Burial will be in Colburn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where Rebekah memorial services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carroll County Cancer Association, or the American Heart Fund.
