Leroy Nichols, 61, of Advance, died Thursday afternoon, June 29, 1978, at Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis following a year’s illness. Mr. Nichols is the father of Steve Nichols, Carroll County Extension Agent. Other survivors are the wife, Virginia; a daughter, Susan, a student at Purdue; and a son, Rex, of Mooresville; three brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren. Services were Saturday at the United Church of Christ in Advance, of which he was a member, with burial in the Old Union Cemetery. Delphi Carroll County Comet July 5, 1978
