Lucille Sanders (Lucas) - Class Of 1928

Mrs. Lucille Lucas, 64. of Frankfort died Wednesday of last week in Milner Community Health Care Center at Rossville, after a lingering illness. Born in Carroll County, she was the daughter of Ora and Minnie Gertrude Wikle Sanders. She moved to Frankfort in 1929 and was formerly employed in a school cafeteria there. Her marriage in 1926 was to Kenneth O. Lucas. She was a member of the Eastside Christian Church. Surviving with the husband are two sons and three daughters, Kay Eugene and Larry Wayne Lucas, both of Frankfort, Mrs. La Myra Colleen Shaw and Mrs. Patsy Jean Myers, both of Frankfort, and Mrs. Janet Lee Emery of Roanoke, Va; three sisters, Mrs. Edna Rice of Camden, Mrs. Mabel Miller of Lancaster, Pa., and Mrs. Martha Whitfield of Flora; three brothers, Walter Sanders of Tucson, Ariz., Truman Sanders of Rockfield, and William Sanders of Lancaster, Pa.; 12 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. Final rites were Friday at Frankfort, with interment in Green Lawn Cemetery.
