Mary Jo Reed (Jones)

Mrs. Carl Jones, 47, wife of a prominent Carroll County farmer and well known throughout the entire county, died at Home Hospital Saturday morning.  Mrs. Jones had entered the hospital on January 2 after suffering a stroke while visiting at the home of Mrs. Pauline Moore in Delphi.

Born here on October 29, 1910, she was the daughter of Harre E. and Mary Jane (Hawkins) Reed.  Her father, a former County Clerk, died last August.  A graudate of the Delphi High School, she was married May 4, 1935, to Mr. Jones and they had resided near Flora since that time.  She was a member of the Logansport First Church of Christ Scientist; the Delphi Psi Iota Xi and Rose Chapter Order of Eastern Star.

Surving are the husband; a daughter, Jane Ann Jones, a student in the Flora High School; and aunt, Mrs. Fannie Smith and an uncle, Willard Reed, both of Delphi.

Funeral rites were conducted Monday afternoon from the Eikenberry funeral home with Reader Jerry Ross of Logansport officiating.  Burial was in the Masonic cemetery.
