Lucille Schock (Duncan)

E. Lucile Duncan, 88, of Delphi, died at 6:30 a.m. Feb. 14, 1999, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, where she had resided since September 1997.
  Born Oct. 15, 1910, in Jefferson Township, she was the daughter of Orville and Nellie Crowel Schock.  Her marriage was on June 10, 1933, in Monticello, to Maurice E. "M.E." Duncan, who died Dec. 15, 1987.
  Before moving to the healthcare center, she had lived most of her life in the Hickory Grove area in Adams Township.
  She graduated from Delphi High School and attended Lafayette Business College.
  Mrs. Duncan was one of the oldest and most active member of the Hickory Grove United Church of Christ.  She also was a member of the women's fellowship of the church and a member of the White County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, where she and friends sewed and quilted for patients every week.
  Surviving are one son, Dale Duncan of Brookston; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, one brother and one sister.
  Services were Wednesday at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home in Monticello, with burial in IOOF Riverview Cemetery.
  Memorials may be made to the Hickory Grove United Church of Christ or the American Diabetes Association.
