Edith M. Plumb, 81, died at 3:55 p.m. May 23, 1990, in Comfort Nursing and Retirement Home, Lafayette, where she had been a patient one month.
  Born Oct. 13, 1908, in Delphi, she was educated at Delphi High School.  Her marriage was in 1934 in Lafayette to George L. Plumb, who died in 1967.
  She was a grill cook at Loeb's Tea Room for a number of years.
  She was a member of Congress Street United Methodist Church, Lafayette, Circle Club of the church, and Senior Citizens Club.
  Surviving are a son, Gerald D. Plumb of West Lafayette; a sister, Ida Fac Vanderweilen of Lafayette; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
  Services were Saturday in Lafayette, with burial in Masonic Cemetery, Delphi.
