Ralph Allen THOMPSON, 70, of 229 W. Ninth St., died at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 1981 at his home. He had been in failing health several years.
He was born Aug. 26, 1910 in Camden to Verd and Faye HUNTSINGER THOMPSON. He had lived here since 1952, moving from Lafayette. He was married Dec. 24, 1940 to Maxine AMBLER in Rochester. She survives. He was a retired auto salesman and a member of the Manitou Moose Lodge and the Rochester American Legion. He spent four years in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Surviving with the wife are two sons, Tom and Mike [THOMPSON], both of Rochester; a granddaughter, Trinity Ann THOMPSON, Seymour; a sister, Mrs. Ruby TRENT, Delphi; several nieces and nephews. A brother preceded in death.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Foster & Good Funeral Home with burial in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call 2-9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday.
