Pearl Bowman (Britton) - Class Of 1928

Pearl G. Bowman Britton, 75, of Camden, died at 8:25 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1986 in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. She had been hospitalized four days and in ill health one month. Born June 7, 1911, in White Pine, Tenn., she was the daughter of George and Lettie Rogers Bowman. Her marriage was on April 20, 1931, in Delphi, to Walter Ellsworth Britton, who survives. A home make, Mrs. Britton was a member of the former Mount Olive Church in Cutler. She had been a resident of Carroll county for 50 years. Surviving with the husband are four sons, Irvin G. Britton of Rt. 1, Flora, Carl E. Britton of the Republic of Panama, Ralph W. Britton of Flora and Jerry E. Britton of Rt. 1, Camden; two daughters, Waneta Graham of Kokomo, and Elaine McCain of Rt. 1, Camden; three sisters, Ethel Clem of Rt. 1, Cutler, Ora Poole of Dwight, Ill., and Florence Goyer of Delphi: 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, two grandchildren and two great-grand children preceded her in death. Carroll County Comet, September 3, 1986
