Lois Sink

Lois Margaret Sink, 101, of Indianapolis, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at 10:20 a.m. at Marquette Manor in Indianapolis. She lived most of her life in the city, then moving to Marquette Manor assisted living in 1999, then to the healthcare facility in 2005. She was born December 23, 1910, in Flora, IN, to the late Riley and Susie Harter Sink. She was a 1928 graduate of Delphi High School. She received her BS in education from Indiana State University in 1932. She taught business for 43 years at Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis, and was the head senior counselor. She was a 70-year member of Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, where she was very active, and volunteered her time as church receptionist. She also volunteered as a museum docent at the Indianapolis Children's Museum for many years. She enjoyed traveling and the Indianapolis Symphony.


Surviving are nieces, Marge and Robert Scholl of Flora and Betty and Robert Edging of Camden; nephews, Joseph and Joyce Brubaker of Kokomo, R. Lowell and Almeda Brubaker of Flora and R. Sam and Ruthmary Sink, of Portsmouth, Ohio; and great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by a sister, Eva; a brother, Frank; and a niece, Sue.
