Robert Broadlick - Class Of 1929

Robert Embree Broadlick, 52, 6054 Lowell, Indianapolis, a baker, was at work early Thursday when he suffered an apparent heart attack and died. He owned Broadlick’s bakery at 6112 East Washington. Broadlick was born in Delphi and graduated with the January, 1929 class of Delphi High School and went to Indianapolis soon after. His parents owned and operated a bakery in Delphi on South Washington Street in the Walter Clawson building. He came from a family of bakers. He was a member of the Irvington Presbyterian Church and the Indiana Bakers Association. He was the owner of the building occupied by The Specialty Shop, here. Survivors are the widow, Alice Elizabeth Broadlick; a daughter, Linda Jane Tomlin, and a son, Donald Broadlick, an Eli Lilly and Company pharmacist. Services were arranged by Shirley Brothers in Indianapolis.
