Harry Vaughan - Class Of 1929

Accidental death will be the ruling of the county coroner in the death of Harry Myers Vaughan, 52, Delphi resident who was found dead Friday night at his home on North Washington Street. It is believed that Vaughan died Wednesday night after a fall. A Lafayette Pathologist who performed the autopsy, said the local man bled to death when he ruptured an aorta in his head when he struck the woodwork. Born in Carroll county July 25, 1910, his parents were George and Carrie Myers Vaughan. He had been employed in Fort Wayne for a number of years and more recently at Globe Valve in Delphi. His marriage was to Deloris Dammier. Surviving are his mother Mrs. Carrie Myers Vaughan a patient at the Arzula Flora Home in Flora; his wife who resides in Fort Wayne; four sons; William Harry, Michael George, Richard Robert, and Stephen Paul, all of Fort Wayne; a brother Charles Vaughan of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Burial was in Yeoman Cemetery.
