Willis Verl Young, 69, Richardson, Texas, died April 3, 1981 at Dallas Presbyterian Hospital.
  Born in Carroll County on Oct. 27, 1911, he was the son of George Walter and Mary (Airhart) Young. He was married to Josephine Hicks, who survives.
  He was a graduate of Delphi High School.
  Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Shirley Greer, Dallas; a son, Robert L. Young, Houston; two sisters, Gladys Woodrum, Rt. 1, Frankfort and Alma Garrison, Clearwater, Fla.; two brothers, Everett Young and Dale Young of Lafayette; and four grandchildren.
  Services were held at Restland Memorial Chapel.
