Faith Conn, 82, of Delphi, died at 2:40 p.m. Feb. 20, 1994, in St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, where she had resided since Jan. 13. Born Sept 23, 1911, in Delphi, she was the daughter of Robert McHaffey and Sarah Catherine Bowen Conn. She was a 1928 graduate of Delphi High School and a 1936 graduate of St. Charles Hospital School for Nurses Training in Aurora, Ill. She was in the first graduating class of the North Western-Wesley Memorial School for Anesthesiology, in 1944. From 1950-52 she did post graduate work at the University of Virginia. She was a staff anesthetist for 24 1/2 years, working at Wesley Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Ill., and Copley Memorial Hospital in Aurora, Ill., prior to her retirement in 1971. After retiring, she was a house mother for the Tau Alpha Upsilon fraternity at Hanover College for three years. She was a member of Delphi Wesleyan Church. Surviving are two brothers, Harry Conn of Rockford, Ill., and Bowen Conn of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. Services were Tuesday at Horn Funeral Home with Pastor William Breidenbaugh officiating. Burial was in Rossville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Delphi Wesleyan Church.
