John McGreevey - Class Of 1927

John E. McGreevey, 76, Rt. 2, Delphi, was dead on arrival at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, on Saturday, October 12, 1985.  His death was unexpected.
  He was born November 2, 1908, to John A. and Anna Albert McGreevey, in Woodville, Indiana.  He graduated from Delphi High School in 1927 and spent most of his life in the Delphi area.  He had been engaged in farming here until 1958, when he and his son, James E., started J&J Disposal Service in Delphi.
  Mr. McGreevey was married April 11, 1932, to Mildred M. Hoover, and she survives.
  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Delphi.  He was a member, past Grand Knight and former secretary-treasurer of Knights of Columbus.
  Surviving with the widow is one son, James E., four grand-daughters, and one great-grandson.
  He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
  Services were held on Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Delphi, with burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
