John Greenwalt - Class Of 1921

John A. Greenwalt, Sr., 64, of Rt. 2, Delphi, died at the Bluffton Clinic at 7:05 a.m. Sunday.  He had been a patient four days and in ill health six months.
   He was born in Carroll County May 3, 1903, to Lewis and Frances Armstrong Greenwalt.
  A Delphi barber and farmer, he resided on a farm north of Delphi.  He was a member of the Hickory Grove Church of Christ.
  He was married to Bernice Macke on October 9, 1946.  She survives.
  Other survivors are two sons, Robert L., with the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany and John A. Jr., Cole City; one daughter, Mrs. Susan Downing, Mooresville; two step-daughters, Mrs. Don Barnett and Mrs. John Barnett, both of Delphi, and 20 grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hickory Grove Church, north of Delphi with Rev. Jerry Boyer officiating.  Burial was in IOOF Cemetery at Delphi.
  Jackson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
