Elmo, son of John M. and Lily Sheets was born in Ockley, July 14, 1903 and departed, this life May 14. 1929 at Albuquerque, N. M., aged 25 years and 10 months. When a boy he attended the common schools at Ockley and graduated from the Delphi high school in the class of 1921. He was a student in both Purdue and Butler universities. ill health demanded a change in climate and air, so he for the past two years resided in the state of New Mexico. He was a member of the Masonic lodge of Rossville. On September 25, 1928 Mr. Sheets was united in marriage to Miss Emma Rubel of Flint, Mich. He leaves a father, mother, wife, grandfather and other relatives and because of his genial manners and kindly disposition had many other friends who deeply regret to lose him.
