Louise Galloway (Heiland) - Class Of 1922

Mrs. Louise G. "Lou" Heiland, 69, of Lafayette died Monday at 8 p.m. in Indiana University Hospital at Indianapolis where she was admitted January 6.  Prior to that she had been a patient in Home Hospital for two weeks.
  She was born October 5, 1903, near Yeoman, the daughter of John and Pearl Coble Galloway.  She was graduated from Delphi High School and lived at Delphi.  In 1961 she retired from Purdue University where she was in charge of the women's gym.  In 1923 she was married to Fred C. Heiland.
  Surviving with the husband, a retired barber, are a sister, Mrs. John (Sylvia) Temple of Rt. 1, Burnettsville, and nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, in Central Presbyterian Church in Lafayette where she was a member.  The Rev. Dr. J. Dayton McCormick will officiate and interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
