Mabel Balser (Schilling)

Mabel Irene Mae Balser Schilling, 89, died at 12:36 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at the home of son, William, in Murray Utah. Mrs. Schilling worked in the machine department at Duncan Electric from 1942 until retiring in 1967. She worked at the Tippecanoe County Courthouse until the renovation began. Born June 27, 1905, near Delphi, she lived in Lafayette then Nassau and the Bahamas with her son, Noel, for one year. She returned to Lafayette in 1968. She married Paul Kenneth Schilling in 1924. He died in 1960. Mrs. Schilling was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. Surviving is a daughter, Karen S. Andrews of Sartell, Minn.; and three sons, Noel K. Schilling of Bountiful, Utah, William D. Schilling of Murray and Kenneth B. Schilling of Port Angeles, Wash. JOURNAL AND COURIER, NOVEMBER 2, 1994
