Cletus Hoover

  Cletus L. Hoover, 88, of Delphi, died at 6 p.m. Nov. 7, 1991, in St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, where he had resided for three years.
  Born May 12, 1903, in Pulaski County, he was the son of Henry and Sophia Weisenberger Hoover.  He was married Nov. 15, 1958, in Peru, to Nann Carvey, who died July 19, 1986.
  He was a 1923 graduate of Delphi HIgh School and a World War II Army veteran.
  He moved to Delphi in 1982 from Wabash.
  He worked in the Ammunition Department at Olin/Victory Ordinance at Peru for 40 years, retiring in 1967.
  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi, and a former member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Peru.
  Surviving are one brother, Arthur Hoover of Monticello; four sisters, Mildred McGreevey and Dorothy Temple of Delphi, Ardella Whimeyer of Denver and Adeline Rider of Monticello.  He was preceded in death by two brothers and sone sister.
  Services were Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Donald Hardebeck officiating.  Burial was in New Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth.  Horn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
