  Final rites will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Jackson Funeral Home for Ernest Hobaugh, 71, of 111 E. Franklin St., Delphi, who passed away at Memorial Hospital, Logansport, at 2 p.m. Monday.
  The Rev. Bruce Noffsinger will officiate and burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Delphi.
  Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Jackson Funeral Home.
  He had been in ill health for several months.
  Born in Delphi, July 11, 1904, he was the son of Henry and Anna Dunn Hobaugh.  His marriage January 30, 1935, was to Jeannetta Morecraft.  He was a member of Pittsburg Church of the Brethren and had retired from Globe Valve in Delphi in 1972 after 32 years employment there.
  Surviving with the widow are a daughter, Shirley Hankins of Delphi; three sisters, Mrs. Fondo Sholty, Mrs. Orman Plumb and Mrs. Fay Mitchell, all of Lafayette; one brother, Charles Hobaugh of Michigan; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
  A sister and a brother preceded him in death.
