Graveside services were Monday at Zion Cemetery with Rev. Ellis Gasser officiating for Mary A. Sheets, 75, of Delphi who died Friday, Oct. 2, 1981, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. She had been a patient two weeks and in ill health one year. Born July 24,1906, in Delphi, her parents were John B. and Mary Sines Emrick. She married Cleo M. (Jake) Sheets July 3, 1940, in Delphi who died Feb. 22, 1968. Mrs. Sheets was a member and former elder of the Delphi Presbyterian Church in Delphi and a former eastern star member in Dayton. At one time she was owner and operator of 8 beauty shops in Kokomo. Surviving are two sisters, Dorothy McDonald of Kokomo and Viola Emrick, Delphi, and three nephews. Thompson Funeral Home, in Delphi, was in charge of arrangements and contributions maybe made to Carroll County Cancer Fund.
