Edwin Warren McGuire Sr., 69 of Lafayette died at 1:30 a m Tuesday in St. Elizabeth Hospital where he had been a patient since Jan. 1. Mr. McQuire was born in Ames, Iowa, and graduated from Delphi High School in 1924 He was a printer with the Delphi Citizen for 25 years and retired in July 1972 at the Journal and Courier in Lafayette. He also had lived in Monticello. He was a member of the First Christian Church at Delphi and Lafayette Typographical Union His marriage in 1957 was to Mae Morris. Surviving with the wife are a son, Edwin W. McGuire Jr of Lafayette, one daughter, Mrs. Kathleen DeCapua of Marshall, Mich.; a stepson; one stepdaughter; and a stepbrother, Lyle R. Hunter of Carrolltown, Pa. Final rites will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Zahn-Schneider Funeral Home at Lafayette. The Rev. Harvey Harsh will officiate and interment will be in Idaville Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before the service.
