Lanty Armstrong, 44, of Jefferson township died at the Cass county hospital in Logansport, Sunday night, following a major operation performed three weeks ago.  He was born August 18, 1898.
  Surviving besides the widow, Opal Metz Armstrong, are four children, Doris, Mary, Tom and John at home; his father, Charles Armstrong and step-mother, a sister, Mrs. Martha Hanna of Monticello rural route 2, and two step-brothers, Bitler Armstrong of Jefferson township and Frank Armstrong of Monticello rural route.
  The body was taken to the family residence Monday from the Grimm and Sons funeral home.  Services were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Hickory Grove church.  Rev. M.A. Madsen of Monticello assisted by Rev. David Nelson of Greentown was in charge of the services.  Burial was made in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
