Nellie G. Ward, 89, formerly of Delphi, died March 28, 1989, in Birchwood Manor.  She had been a resident there eight months.
  She was born Oct. 26, 1899, in Tippecanoe County, the daughter of William and Louella Flack Greenup.  Her marriage was to Robert Lee Ward in 1919.  He died in 1927.
  She was a graduate of Delphi High School and attended Illinois Womens Business College.  Ward was a real estate representative for the former Wilson's Real Estate in Lafayette for 25 years and retired in 1963.  She was a former member of Delphi American Legion Auxiliary.
  Surviving is one son, Richard L. "Dick" Ward of Delphi; two granddaughters, seven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one brother.
  Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Horn Funeral Home.  Rev. Ellis Gasser will officiate.  Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery in Delphi.  Friends may call at Horn Funeral Home Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.
