John Kirkpatrick - Class Of 1917

Dr. John T. Kirkpatrick, 71, of 234 Summit Street, Delphi, died at 5:15 p.m. Monday in Milner Community Health Care Center at Rossville where he had been a patient two months.
  Dr. Kirkpatrick, a chiropractor and physiotherapist, practiced in Delphi until 1963, when he retired because of ill health.
  Born May 21, 1900, in Cutler, he was the son of Elonzo and Orie Mae Conarroe Kirkpatric.  His marriage on Feb. 14, 1935, in Atlanta, Ga., was to Hazelle Hoshaw.  He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a charter member of Delphi American Legion.  He also was a member of Delphi Masonic Lodge, Indianapolis Scottish Rite and Lafayette Elks Club.  He was a Navy veteran of World War I.
  Surviving with the widow are two foster daughters, Mrs. Katrina McClean of Delphi and Mrs. May Jo Etter of Lafayette; three sisters, Mrs. D. Preston Calvert and Mrs. Hubert Summrow, both of Fort Myers, Fla., and Mrs. P. M. Coleman of Wake Village, Texas; and several nieces.  One brother preceded him in death.
  Friends may call at the Lloyd Funeral Home in Delphi where services will be at 10:30 a.m. today, Thursday.  The Rev. Frederick L. Lanan and the Rev. Toby Rendleman will officiate.  There will be military graveside rites at the Masonic Cemetery.
