Martha Armstrong (Hanna) - Class Of 1918

Mrs. Martha Hanna, 72, of Rt. 1, Delphi, died unexpectedly Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in St. Elizabeth Hospital where she underwent surgery Thursday.
   Born October 4, 1900, where she resided in Jefferson Township, she was the daughter of Charles and Minnie Dimmitt Armstrong.  Her marriage January 1, 1921, was to Carl Hanna.  She was a graduate of Delphi High School and attended Ball State Teachers College.  She taught school at Patton, Yeoman, Carson and Burrows.  She was a 58-year-member of the Hickory Grove Church of Christ.
  Surviving with the husband are two sons, Charles Hanna of Rt. 2, Monticello, and Ralph Hanna, of Rt. 1, Flora; a daughter, Mrs. Joe Starkey of Rt. 3, Logansport; 10 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
  Services were Wednesday afternoon at Hickory Grove Church with the Rev. Veral Seagraves officiating.  Interment was in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.  Miller Funeral Home at Monticello was in charge of arrangements.
