Russel Boothroyd - Class Of 1918

  Russell Bender Boothroyd, 80, Lafayette, died Sun., Jan. 28, 1979, in Home Hospital, where he had been a patient since November 19.  He had been ill three years.
  Born and reared in Delphi he was a graduate from Delphi High School and attended Lafayette Business College.  His parents were Fred and Clara Gipson Boothroyd.  He moved to Lafayette 50 years ago.  In 1921 he was married to Esther Bender.  He was assistant purchasing agent at Fairfield Mfg. retiring in 1963, after 38 years of service.
  Mr. Boothroyd was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, F&AM 123, Murat Shrine, Scottish Rite, Merou Grotto, High 12, Lafayette Shrine Club, Hope Chapter 5, Order of Eastern Star, Bethany White Shine and the Amaranth.
  Surviving with the widow is a son, Robert L. Boothroyd, at home.
  Final rites were this morning with entombment in Tippecanoe Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
