Isabelle Donbeck (MaHanna) - Class Of 1918

The citizens of Delphi were saddened Monday evening when they learned of the death of Mrs. William MaHanna in her home in south Delphi. Mrs. Mahanna had become critically ill since last Wednesday with complications following child birth altho her friends knew she was in a serious condition they had hopes that she might live. She was twenty-six years of age, having been born and reared In Delphi and graduated from the Delphi High School In the class of 1918. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and of the Tuckabatchee class of the Presbyterian Sunday school. She with her husband were popular among the younger set with whom they associated and she was respected and liked by all who knew her. She Is survived by her husband, three children, Shirley Ann, aged 4, Marjorie age 18 months, and a week old baby William Jr., her father Fred Donbeck of Delphi, a brother Larry Donbeck of Gary. Mrs. Edna Briggs will take the week old baby to her home and care for it for the present. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the home, Rev. Dale LeCount officiating.
